What is Arbitrum?

Arbitrum One is a Layer 2 network for Ethereum built by Offchain Labs. It uses optimistic rollup technology: transactions are executed off the main chain and posted to Ethereum, inheriting its security while costing much less.

ARB is the governance token of the Arbitrum DAO, launched in March 2023. ARB holders vote on upgrades and treasury decisions. Transaction fees on Arbitrum One are paid in ETH, not ARB. The maximum supply of ARB is 10 billion.
